TO-DAY Chinese policeman charged a fellow countryman, aged 22, who described himself as an unemployed carpenter, with highway robbery on the night of the 4th inst. Prosecutor said that at 11.30pm, he was passing along Queen's Road, in the vicinity of the late fire, when he saw a European lying in the road apparently drunk, and the accused plundering hint, and with his hand in the European's pocket.
