Fine weather again favored the Regatta, and the attendance on the Aag-ship was even larger than yesterday. His Excellency the Governor came alongside in the Government steam launch," and Lady Bowen and the Misses Bowen, at- tended by Lieut. Vyvyan, aide-de-camp, honored the proceedings with their presence. Amongst the distinguished visitors we noticed Admiral Willes, C.B., Admiral Meyer, the. French.com- mander-in-chief, Mr. W. H. Marsh, Colonial Secretary, and many other notabilities. There was a large assemblage of ladies. The Band of the Buffs was in attendance, and enlivened proceedings considerably.
The sport was excellent, most of the races
being capitally contested. As we predicted, the Scotch crew won the International with consum mate case. A brief account of the various events will be found below, and a complete description of the Regatta will appear in our next issue.
