193 per cent, premium for the end of the month, without securing buyers; but at a point less, business would quickly be ar- ranged Union Insurance scrip has changed hands at 625, and there aro.further buyers at that rate, Canton Insurances, on the other hand, are slightly weaker, with sellers at 120, whilst Chinese stock is in request at 215. Hongkong, Fires could be placed at 1360, but offers to sell at 1375 have not been responded to. A few transactions in China Fires, have been reported at 380, but there are still shares on the market at that figure. Docks are in rather beller odour than has been the case for some time past, buyers tendering 55 per cent, premium without securing any shares; Land Steamboats are also rather firmer with purchasers at 48 per share premium -—the highest figure this stock has reached for a long time past. China Sugars have been negociated at 190, and there are now cash buyers at 191.. Luzons Bron dead letter, and other stocks require-no-special. -reference.
