THIS DAY.
Noon. We have not a single transfer to report from the Share Market this morning. Banks are slightly firmer with buyers at 181 per cent. premium for the end of the month. Hongkong Fires have advanced another 810 per share without inducing holders to part. Luzons have gone down to $74 per share, but no buyers are at present forthcoming. Other stocks re- main as per annexed list.
4 o'clock p.m. Business is still almost a dead letter. A few sales of China Fires have been report. ed at 345, and there are further buyers at the rate. Sugars stocks are inclined to be somewhat weaker. Chinas are on offer at 181 and might be procured at a point less, whilst Luzons are a drug in the market at 70 for cash and 72 for the end of June,
