THIS DAY.

Noon. Business in the Share Market has been at a complete standstill this morning, not a single transfer having come under our notice. Banks are quiet but steady at quotation. Hongkong Fires have improved their position somewhat, offers to buy at $1240 per share failing to induce holders to part. Steamboats have also slightly improved, and are in request ut 841 per share premium. Luzons are weaker, sellers offering at $78 per share for the end of the month. Other stocks remain as per annexed list.

4 o'clock p.m. Since noon China Sugars have been dealt in at $188 per share for cash, and Luzons have $190 for the end of June.
