Commercial.

THIS DAY.

Noon. Share business is so generally quiet that we have not a single transaction of the least importance to report this morning. A few changes have taken place in the price current, and it may be noted that stocks all round show a weaker tendency. Banks are again out of favor, sellers ruling the market at 184 per cont, pre- mium, and it would appear that an even lower quotation would not lead to a great deal of business. China Traders have dropped to 2500-a reduction of 75 since yesterday and there

We no buyers even at this reduced rate. have heard several inquiries after Docks at quotation, but holders stand off for better terins, which they will probably get within the next few days. Both the Sugar stocks are decidedly weak. Chinas are freely offered at 180 without attracting customers, and Luzons are a drug in the market at 80 per share. Nothing else need be specially referred to..

aro

4 o'clock p.m. Since noon a-fair-business-has-been done- in Banks at the decreased rate of 180 per cent, premium for the end of the month. No other transactions came under our notice.
