Noon, Business in the Share Market is almost at a standstill this morning. Banks have heen done at 203 per cent. premium for the end of June: Chinese Insurances have changed hands at $208 per share, and left off with buyers at that rate. Nothing else came under our notice.
"4 o'clock p.m. The feature of this afternoon's share business has been a determined run on the scrip of the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Company, Commencing &t 34 per cent. premium, cash sales were booked to a. considerable extent, the rate gradually rising to $6, and finally to 57, the stock leaving off very firm with buyers at the last named quotation. On time, substantial business was arranged at 57 and 58 for the end of the present month, no further shares being forthcoming at the latter rate. Hongkong Fires are slightly weaker, with
