Noon,
A fair business in Banks has been put through this morning both for cash and on time. Cum new issue at 177 per cent. pre- mium for the end of the month, and ex new -issue at 148 for cash, a goodly number of shares have changed hands. The stock has a much healthier feeling than was the case yesterday, and is in good demand at 176 cum and 148 ex-cash rates. There are also buyers at 181 for the end of March. Docks are rather weaker with sellers at 52. No other business has been reported.

The British steamship Diamante reports left Amoy on the 19th instant. Had moderate mon- scon and fine weather. On the 19th at 8 am, passed the steamship Albay off Hatch Island, bound to Amoy...
The British steamship Chinkiang reports left Shanghai on the 17th instant. From Shanghai to Namki Islands, had strong N.N.W. winds; thence had moderate monsoon to the Lammocks; thence to arrival had light EN.E. winds and clear weather. *)
The British steamship Douglas repons left
Foochow on the 16th instant, Amoy on the 17th, and Swatow on the 19th. From Foochow to Amoy and Swatow experienced strong N.E. wind and high sea with dull cloudy weather, and from Swatowto port had fresh breeze with slightly. hazy weather. In Foochow the steamships Hac shin, Waverley, and several Chinese gunboats.
