The Chinese steamship Chi-yuen reports ieft Swatow on the aand insiant. Had light N.E. winds and find weather.
The British steamship Glenartney reports left Foochow on the zoth instant. Hnd moderate N.E. monsoon and fine weather.
The British steamship Hainan reports left
Hongkong on the 31st October. Had strong
N.E. mansoon to Kudat; arrived there on the St instant at noon. Left again at 8 a.m. on the 9th for Sandakan; arrived in Sandakan at 8 a.m. on the 10th; remained there till the 15th and left for Hongkong, Passing through Cullion Straits had hard winds all the way up as far as lat. 16.10 N. and long. 119.19 E.; thence had strong N.E. gale with very heavy head sea to Ladrones. Arrived in Hongkong at 9 pm. on the 22nd.
The British steamship Fri-tung reports left Bangkok on Sunday, the 12th instant Experi enced moderato weather, and strong winds to Pulo Obi; thence to port had strong N.E. mon. soon with very heavy sen. On Thursday, the 16th at 2 pan. had very hard gale from the N.E. with heavy sea, At 4 pm. weather very threatening with wind and sea increasing, vessel shipping much water fore and aft. At 5.30 p.m. came to anchor under Vine Point for shelter and
proceeded on on the morning of the 17th from thence to gomiles from Ladrones had continuance. of the same weather, and found a strong current setting to the Southward.
