Nov.-Saigon 1st November, Rice-Chi- Luzons are still showing an upward ten- dency, but offers of 106 have quite failed to induce holders to part with their scrip, We know what we should do if we were fortunate enough to possess any of the Luzon Sugar Refining Company's valuable stock; but as we unhappily have no mat erial interest in the concern, it will per haps be just as well if we do not venture to express opinions which might either send the quotation, up to an unparalelled height, or create a panic. Possibly we may view matters rather differentlyby and bye, and then decide to say what we believe and'infer from the reliable information in our possession.
4 q'clock p.m. As hinted in our remarks this morning Luzons continued their upward course, un- itil buyers offered 108 cash, at which rate a few transactions were booked; sellers, however, eventually-remained masters of "the situation, the stock leaving off incline]
to be weak at this quotation.
On time, business was put through at 110 for the end of February specula- live transaction which can mean very little. Banks are rather less firm, a few small sales having taken place at 146, and there
are more shares offered at the rate. A number of transfers at 147 for November 30th have also been reported. The only other business we could trace was a time negociation in. Docks at 54 per cent pre- muim for the end of the month. Shares could still be placed at the annexed cash quotation.
