The British steamship Hainan reports left Haiphong and Hoihow on the 20th instant: Had light Southerly winds and fine weather in. Ton- quin Gulf, and from thence to port had strong N.E. winds and high sea. In Holhow the steam- ships Greyhound and Actin. The steamship Meli off Hoihow, bound E.
The British steamship Callerthun reports left Sydney on the 30th September; touched at Townsville on the 5th instant, Cooktown on the 7th, Thursday Island on the 9th, Port Darwin on the 14th, Elopura (Nortiv Bomeo) on the 21st.
