Noon. Share business again displays activity, and movements in connection with the various stocks are as eagerly watched, as were the Egyptian war telegrams a few 'weeks ago. Banks are still playing the lead- ing role although no actual transactions of Importance have lately been reported. Operators in Banks in this Colony, appear to be at present entirely controlled from Shanghai. This morning there are sellers for cash at 138 per cent. premium and buyers at 138; but up to the time of our going to press to sales had been reported. A few-China Traders shareshave changed- hands at 1550, and there are small sellers at the rate. A slight inquiry has been made after the scrip of the Canton Insurance Companyat 80, but so faraswecan learn no actual transfers have resulted." Hongkong Fires, are still in request at 4,035 per share. Business has been transacted in Docks on time, first at 57 per cent, premium, and latterly at 5G the shares to be taken up on November 30th. For cash there are a few shares offered at 54. Steamboats are on the market at 32 per shåre pre- mium; but no demand for the stock ap- pears to exist at present. A few trans- actións in the scrip of the Indo-China Steam Navigation Company at2 per cent, discount _have been.reported._Luzons.are.wanted at par; but holders decline to sell at that price.
