Noon. Our remarks yesterday with regard to the Luzon Sugar Refinery's stock have already been amply justified. After we went to 'press, a very large business was transactedin Luzons at par for cas's, and a still larger number of transactions. “'on time" at 102 per share for the end of December. As soon as the market fairly opened this morning indications were soon forthcoming that further sensational pro-
ceedings in connection with the scrip of the Manila refinery were impending. After some little finesseing the opposing factions came to terms, and extensive transfers were
́booked at-104 for cash, and 108 for the end of the year: When and where this “bulling" and "bearing" business is to end we have not the slightest idea, but it must be perfectly plain even to the unini itated that the professional speculators must have been enjoying a very good in nings lately.
