4 o'clock.p.m. Banks are scarcely so firm as they were this morning, the offers to buy at 122 hav ing been withdrawn, and we think a num- ber of shares could easilys be obtained at that rate.
A trifling transfer in the stock of the China Fire Insurance Company has been reported at 320. Buyers still offer 178 for Sugar shares, but holders refuse to sell under 180. Other quotations re- main unaltered.
