When wishing to use the Telephone, a Sabseribor will only have to call the Central Station aul give the nuns of the party, he wishes to speak with, the wires are then immediately switched together, and the two Subscribers will be in direct connunication with each other. When they have finished, the Contral Office is notifiol to that effot by a Bell Signal, the wires are thou disconnected, and any other connection can be made if desired and so on. The dialogue between the subscribers is of course quite private and can only be hoard by the two partius concerned. It should distinctly be understood, thit the message are not spokon to the Can- tral Offies, and, thence transmitted to

Tho Company will also undertako to mako private arrangonents for parsons wishing to be in direct communication with their offices, godowns, etc, and to take over the maintenance of such lines at reasonable charge.
