Banks wore in alight demand yesterday afternoon at 112 per cent premium, The Bales effected were, however, of only minor importance, and the shares are at present

weak and on offer at the same rate. Some

business was done in Hongkong Fire at 900; and at 270, a reduction of 5 on former quo tation, a few China Fires changed hands... No transfors were noted in Docks, although buyers were willing to pay, 30 per cent pres mium for small lots, but declined to mako any advance on that figure. Other quotations remain unchanged,
