ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON SOCIAL RESEARCH

Terms of reference:

(See paragraph 12)

'The Committee is advisory to His Excellency the Governor with the following

terms of reference:

(a) To encourage, support, facilitate and co-ordinate research in the social

services field;

(b) to recommend necessary research projects and to seek funds for such

projects in this field;

(c) to assess the degree of priority to be given to these projects;

(d) to suggest an appropriate agency or Government Department to carry

out each project;

(e) to co-ordinate requests from voluntary agencies and Government Depart- ments for assistance in carrying out social research projects in the Social Services field;

(ƒ) to maintain records of research previously carried out or in hand; and (g) to make available on request results on research projects to interested

bodies.
