Blind
Certified by the Government Ophthalmic Specialist to have residual vision of 3/60th or less (metric system) in the better eye after correction.
Mentally retarded
Persons with arrested or incomplete development of the mind or subnormal intellectual functioning which usually originates during the developmental period.
Severe requiring life-long care
Medium- capable of some training.
Physically Handicapped (General classes)
Mainly persons with loco-motor disability of orthopaedic or neurological origin.
Deaf
Deaf persons with hearing impairment which is of educational, social and occupa- tional significance.
