"To advise on the promotion and co-ordination of training for social work in Hong

Kong at all levels; and, more specifically:

To provide opportunities for co-operation and exchange of views in regard to social work education and training between Government departments, the academic institutions which provide social work education, voluntary organi- zations and the Social Workers Association.

To advise the Government departments, academic institutions and voluntary organizations concerned on the development of education and training for social work, bearing in mind the need to conserve and make the best possible use of the scarce resources of qualified social work supervisors, teachers and practitioners and to increase their number.
