There is always activity in a com- munity centre. A gymnastics class at Kwun Tong is cheered on by a noisy audience of boys who are enjoying themselves as much as those taking part. The judo group is more decorous; solemn silence is punctuated with thuds as con- testants hurl each other in turn onto the mats. (see paragraph 14).
