THE SOCIAL WELFARE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Terms of Reference.

The terms of reference of the Social Welfare Advisory Committee have remained the same since its formation in late 1947. They are:

To advise Government on Social Welfare Policy, on schemes by which the policy might be implemented, and on the practical execution of these schemes, with special reference to:

(a) the functions of the Department of Social Welfare;

(b) co-ordination of all welfare activities;

(c) selection and training of personnel;

(d) financial aid from the Hong Kong Treasury to voluntary organization and

institutions.
