APPENDIX XV

Social Welfare Advisory Committee

The terms of reference for the official Social Welfare Advisory Committee remain the same from its formation in late 1947. They are:-

To advise Government on Social Welfare Policy, or schemes by which the policy might be implemented, and on the practical execution of these schemes, with special reference to:-

Members.

(a) the functions of the Social Welfare Office;

(b) co-ordination of all welfare activities;

(c) selection and training of personnel;

(d) financial aid from Hong Kong Treasury to

to voluntary organizations and institutions.
