CLERK OF COUNCILS
Present appointment.
177. As previously stated, the Deputy Colonial Secretary is also Clerk of Councils and in this work he is assisted by a Personal Assistant (P.A.D.C.S.), who is the appointed Deputy Clerk of Councils and by a Woman Confidential Assistant who is the appointed Executive Council Clerk.
Proposed appointment.
178. It was recommended in Chapter II that the Deputy Colonial Secretary should be relieved of his appointment as Clerk of Councils and that another officer be appointed to that post. It was also recommended that the post of Deputy Clerk of Councils be abolished.
