SPECIAL COMMENTS ON STRAITS SETTLEMENTS SCHOOLS.

As the conditions in these schools would in some ways approximate to those which would appertain to similar institutions in Hong Kong, it is suggested that the following points be specially considered.

(1) Conditions of Labour.

The Trade Schools are remarkably well planned and lit, and are placed in pleasant semi-rural surroundings.
