scale of not less than 1% of an inch to a foot together with a block plan showing the position of such premises in relation to adjoining buildings and public streets with such completeness as the Building Authority may require. Such plans shall be amended in any parti- cular required by the Building Authority and shall be retained by him, and shall show the number of persons to be accommodated in the various parts respectively of such premises and the area to be assigned to each person, which shall not be less than 2 feet 3 inches by 1 foot 8 inches, also the widths of all staircases, corridors, gangways, and doorways and the heights of all tiers and other parts of the buildings. Such plans shall be drawn on tracing cloth and shall be submitted in duplicate, and copies of such plans shall be posted on the licensed premises by the licensee.
(2.) The Captain Superintendent of Police may, upon being informed by the Building Authority that he has no objection, issue a licence for the public entertainment to be held in such building or place. (i.) That in Regulation 7 the word "two" be substituted for the word
"three" and the words "horizontal divisions" be omitted.
(iii.) That in Regulation 8 "any" be substituted for "all".
(iv.) That in Regulation 12 "at the" be substituted for "upon all ". (v.) That in Regulation 13 "twenty-four steps without a turn" be substituted
for "two flights of twelve steps each without a turn ".
(vi.) That in Regulation 17 "gangways" be substituted for "gangway". (vii) That in Regulation 18 the words "where they have arms" be omitted. (viii.) That in Regulation 19 "lead" be substituted for "deliver". (ix.) That in Regulation 22 "two exits" be substituted for "one exit" and
also that entrances" be substituted for "an entrance".
(x.) That in Regulation 29 the words "all doors and gates used for entrances be substituted for the words "all doors used for entrances and all gates".
(xi.) That in Regulation 30 the words "all other barriers doors and gates'
be substituted for the words "all barriers and internal doors". (xii.) That in Regulation 34 "one month" be substituted for "three months". (xiii) That in Regulation 37 the words from "whether" down to "illumi-
nant" be printed within brackets.
(xiv.) That in Regulation 39 the words "all permanent buildings and, where practicable, all" be substituted for "all buildings other than". (xv.) That in Regulation 41 the words "whether public or otherwise" be
omitted.
(xvi.) That in Regulations 42 and 44 the words "Captain Superintendent of
Police" be substituted for "Building Authority".
(xvii.) That in Regulation 43 the words "and shall be" be inserted before the
word "maintained".
(xviii.) That in Regulation 47 all the words after " $500" be omitted. (xix.) That in Regulation 48 the words "Places of Public Entertainment Regulation Ordinance, 1919 " be substituted for the words "above named Ordinance".
(xx.) That in Regulation 49 the words "upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $25" be substituted for the words "to a penalty not exceeding $25 to be recovered summarily before a Magistrate", and also that the words from and including "but nothing" down to the end of Regula- tion 49 be omitted.
(xxi.) That Regulation 52 be altered so as to read as follows:—
52.-(1.) Any person who desires to use any matshed for a public entertainment shall send in an application to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs which shall contain the following information:-
(a.) The names, descriptions and addresses of the person or
persons making such application.
