The following Resolution was considered together with the Statement showing the Estimated Expenditure on the Hongkong-Canton Railway up to December, 1908 :-

It is hereby resolved that a sum of Four million two hundred and fifty thousand

Dollars ($4,250,000) be advanced out of funds in the custody of the Govern ment for the purpose of construction of the Hongkong-Canton Railway (British Section) during the year 1908.

After some discussion it was decided to await the preparation of a detailed statement of the Railway expenditure.

The Committee then adjourned sine die.

Laid before the Legislative Council and adopted ou the 6th February, 1908.
