IMBECILE PERSONS INTRODUCTION AMENDMENT BILL.-The Attorney General addressed the Council, and moved the second reading of the Bill entitled An Ordinance to amend the Imbecile Per- sons Introduction Ordinance, 1903.

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a second time.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

After some discussion,

Council resumed, and Bill reported without amendment.

The Attorney General moved the third reading of the Bill.

Mr. SHEWAN objected.

Third reading postponed.

CHURCH PROPERTY VESTING BILL.-The Attorney General addressed the Council, and moved the second reading of the Bill entitled An Ordinance to enable "The Trustees of Saint John's Cathe- dral Church in Hongkong" to hold and deal with property for the purpose of promoting the work of the Church of England in Hongkong and China.

The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to, Mr. SHEWAN dissenting.

Bill read a second time.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

Council resumed, and Bill reported without amendment.

The Attorney General moved the third reading of the Bill.

ADJOURNMENT.-The Council then adjourned till Thursday, the 3rd November, 1904.
