ced stages at time of admission.

* It is to be noted that the Tung Wah Hospital is largely used as a dying house, to which people in extremis are brought from the coolie quarters, &c. of the city; and that treatment is chiefly by Chinese native methoxls. The mortality colum must be read with these Facts in view.
