The Committee meet at the request of the Colonial Secretary.
The Minutes of the last Meeting, held on the 18th ultimo, having been taken as read, are confirmed.
Read the following Minute by His Excellency the Governor :-
G. WILLIAM DES VEUX,
The Governor recommends the Council to vote the sum of Three thousand and Four $8,400. hundred Dollars, for repairing damage caused to roads outside the City of Victoria by the
rainstorm of the 29th April last.
Government House, Hongkong, 9th May, 1889.
After explanation by the Colonial Secretary, the Committee recommend that this amount
be voted.
The Committee then adjourn sine die.
Laid before the Legislative Council on the 16th May, 1889.
Read and confirmed on the 27th May, 1889.
