In pursuance of The Rating Ordinance 1875, the Governor in Council has fixed the Municipal Rates for the year ending June 30th, 1886, as follows:--

(I.) In the City of Victoria,-

(II.) At Victoria Peak,--

Municipal Rates,..

8 per cent.

(III.) In British Kanlung and other outlying Districts of the Colony,-

Municipal Rates,..

6 per cent.

Municipal Rates will be payable quarterly in advance at the Treasury during the first month in each Quarter, and shall be charged on and recoverable from the owners of the Tenements in respect of which the above Assessments have been made.
