EIGHTH MEETING.

1. Mr. DANBY is called and examined.

2. It is decided to keep the notice in the Newspapers until all the evidence has

been taken.

3. A confidential letter from Mr. FLEMING of the Royal Engineers is read.

4. Messrs. FLEMING and BIRD are to be invited to attend and give evidence at the next meeting.

The Commission then adjourns to meet on Friday, the 18th instant, at 3 P.M.

are examined.

2. Mr. BOWDLER is called in and asked for a second time for a list of the charges complained of by him and the Officers of the Public Works Department.

The Commission then adjourns to meet on Wednesday, the 23rd instant, at 4.30 P.M.
