Radio Hong Kong Television
79. The most important engineering event of the year was the arrival and installation of equipment for the Government Television Unit, renamed Radio Hong Kong Television. The installation consists of 3 image orthicon T.V. cameras in Studio 1 together with associated equipment such as lighting grid, floor monitors, cyclorama etc. The vision control room attached to the studio contains engineering camera and lighting controls together with vision mixing and effects units. Adjacent to the vision control room is the sound control room with 12 channel mixer, tape reproducing/recording and gramophone equip-

80. The control room of Studio Suite 6 was converted to a Video Tape Area and houses the main quadruplex VTR and rehearsal helical scan VTR. Studio 6 is the Telecine Area and the installation consists of a telecine island comprising electronic camera, multiplexer, 2-16 mm film projectors together with a 35mm slide projector. Also installed in this area is a caption scanner.
