(November 1963 and March 1964 were record months in which 60 and 61 outside broadcasts were covered respectively.)
94. The chassis of one of Radio Hong Kong's vehicles was modified during the year for use as a mobile control room for outside broadcasts. The van is now available for outside broadcast control work for both programmes services simultaneously. Preparation were also being made to install an extendable mast to link the vehicle with Mercury House by VHF.
Recording & Portable Recorders
95. All operational tape-recorders and play-back machines were modified during the year for full track working. Radio Hong Kong has now, therefore, adopted the internationally recognized C.C.I.R. broad- casting characteristics i.e. tape speed of 7.5 I.P.S. on full track.
96. The demand for studio bookings and recording facilities continued to be very high. Available studios are usually in constant use from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
