Hung Hom A.M. Transmitters
110. There was no change in the deployment of these transmitters during 1961-62. Hung Hom is equipped with two S.T.C. C.M.2 transmitters with an output of 2 Kw/s. As a joint standby to these medium wave transmitters there is a Marconi T.B.M. 631c, as well as a Marconi SWB 8A with power of 24 kilowatts, which carries the Chinese short wave service. V.H.F./F.M. Tuners have now been installed at Hung Hom for use in case of failure of the programme lines from Mercury House. In this event the Chinese and English Service transmitters can be modulated by receiving the F.M. broadcasts from Mount Gough transmitting station.
