Road.
The Opera Troupe, first established by RTHK in 1968,
has now given over 500 performances, and the fact that all shows are so well received is a credit to the high standards maintained by the actors, most of whom work as contributors at RTHK during the day.
Children's Programmes
25.
Children's Programmes were broadcast daily from 10.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and included :-
"Let's Join In"
Children were requested to send in stories written by themselves. If the story was found to be meaningful or interesting, the writer was invited to the studio to tell the story.
"Youth Wonderland"
A series of adventure stories in dramatised form. Each story depicted how a youngster tried his or her best in an endeavour to overcome difficulties. The stories undoubtedly served both an educational and entertaining purpose.
"Let's Get Together"
An audience of about 60 young listeners were invited to the studio to participate in the programme. They played games together, sang songs, or played musical instruments. The participants were given small gifts.
"Children's Variety Show"
Two Variety Shows were held at the Victoria Park and the Kowloon Park and each attracted thousands of children. The programmes in the performances included short plays Tung Tung, the Bee, magic and folk dances, and children were invited to join in various games.
