These two photographs, the first taken in August 1965 and the second only nine months later, vividly illustrate the clearance of squatter boats, squatter industry and boat yards undertaken to reclaim land for Cheung Sha Wan Estate, an adjacent new industrial area and a coastal road link with Tsuen Wan.
