221. Once again the Department as a whole has had an extremely busy year, with some Divisions under constant pressure. It gives me much pleasure to record that the staff at all levels have measured up to the extra demands made upon them, and I welcome this opportunity to express my appreciation of their unflagging diligence throughout the year. Thanks are also extended to other Government Departments, solicitors, accountants and others with whom the Department has frequent dealings for their help in smoothing our path on many occasions.
