issue a reprimand or order the removal of the name of an auditor from the List.
95. During the year the Board inquired into and approved the applications of 17 auditors and 11 auditing firms for admission to Part I, and of 9 auditors and 11 auditing firms for admission to Part II of the Authorized List. At the end of the year there were 207 in- dividuals and 85 firms on Part I of the List and 170 individuals and 73 firms on Part II. Of these, 142 individuals and 70 firms were on both Parts. Out of the 207 accountants on Part I of the List 158 were Chinese.
Companies Law Revision Committee
96. In May 1968 the Companies Law Revision Committee, whose work had been suspended in 1965 pending the enactment in Britain of legislation following upon the Jenkins Report, was reconstituted under the Chairmanship of Mr. W. K. THOMSON, O.B.E., formerly the Registrar General. After fresh advertisements calling for representations, the Committee, of which the Registrar General is a Member and Mr. Charles Y. K. LEE, Assistant Solicitor in the Registrar General's Department is the Secretary, resumed its meetings at the beginning of August 1968. Since then meetings have been held at regular fortnightly intervals except for six weeks in the winter when the Chairman was not available owing to his being engaged on another pressing duty.

97. The total of all fees collected by the Companies Registry under all Ordinances was $3,272,950, an increase of $1,672,557 compared with the previous year's total. This year's total was made up as follows (with the previous year's figures for comparison):
