The figures for the years 1961 to 1965 are revised estimates based on a By-Census in the summer of 1966 and subsequent information, and represent decreases in the figures published in previous reports of from 92,100 in 1965 to 9,600 in 1961. The number of registered births in 1966 exceeded that of registered deaths by 73,776, but as there are always a considerable number of unregistered births, the natural increase in population must have been considerably more.
