Foreign Companies
31. Forty four foreign companies established a place of business within the Colony and complied with the provisions of Part XI of the Ordinance. At the end of the year there were 429 foreign companies. registered as compared with 402 the year before. Table IX shows the countries in which these 429 foreign companies are incorporated.

33. Thirteen money-lenders licences were issued under the Money- Lenders Ordinance (Cap. 163). This was two more than in 1959-60. The fee for such a licence is $500 per annum.
Deposits by Fire, Marine and Life Insurance Companies
34. The deposits made by Insurance Companies with the Registrar of Companies under the Fire and Marine Insurance Companies Deposit Ordinance (Cap. 34), and those made under the Life Insurance Com- panies Ordinance (Cap. 36), are shown in Tables X and XI respectively.
Chinese Partnerships Ordinance (Cap. 31)
35. There are twenty two partnerships on the Register, only one of which has been registered since the war (in 1959-60). The other twenty one were registered before 1935, and it is thought that many of these are no longer in existence.
Limited Partnerships Ordinance (Cap. 37)
36. One Limited Partnership was registered during the year. Only six Limited Partnerships have so far been registered under this Ordinance.
