OFFICIAL TRUSTEE

Explanatory

62. The office of the Official Trustee was established by Ordinance No. 7 of 1873. The present law relating to his appointment and duties is contained in Part VII of the Trustee Ordinance (Cap. 29) and the Administration of Trust Funds Rules made under Section 76 of that Ordinance.

Number of Trusts

63. The number of trust estates administered by the Official Trustee remained at 13.

Trust Funds

64. Table XVI sets out the Receipts and Payments for the year, and the Assets and Liabilities as at 31st March, 1956. The Official Trustee's commission for the year amounted to only $90.32. At the close of the year the total funds administered amounted to $179,585.91.
