Patents registrable.

40. There is no original registration of patents in Hong Kong, but under the Registration of United Kingdom Patents Ordinance (Cap. 42), United Kingdom patents are registrable on application by the grantee, or any person deriving his rights from him.

Patents registered.

41. The number of new patents registered during the year was 30, compared with 9 in the previous year. The total number of patents on the Register on the 31st March, 1954, was 111.

Fees.

42. Fees collected during the year amounted to $1,476.00.
