MARRIAGES.

15. The number of marriages celebrated in the Colony during the year (1.4.50-31.3.51) was 2,051 of which 1,751 were between Chinese persons. Particulars are given in Table I infra.

FEES.

16. The total amount of fees received under the second schedule of the Marriage Ordinance 1875, and the Marriage (War Period) (Validity) Ordinance 1948, was $19,581. Particulars are shown in Table II.

17. The number of marriages solemnized and the total amount of fees collected each year during the ten years 1935-1939 and 1946-1950 are shown in Table III.
