Le Mare of Butterfield and Swire has been good enough to take the custody and care of the books and journals, but we hope that a suitable arrangement can be made with the authorities of the new City Hall to provide facilities for the housing and the use of the Library.
In conclusion, I wish to thank all the members of the Society, and the officers and members of the Council, for their loyal and wholehearted support. As I hope soon that it may be possible for a younger man to take my place for the future, I am happy in the knowledge and in the assurance that I can confidently give you that in the officers and members of the present Council—excluding myself you have a keen and active body, each one of whom is dedicated to the furtherance of the objects of the Society.
