General 11.07 The Division controls, maintains and extends the fresh and salt water distribution system and is responsible for the provision of supplies to consumers,

Mains Sub-Division 11.08 Extensions and improvements to fresh and salt water distribution systems were carried out to supply areas of new development and to meet the requirements of urban redevelopment schemes. The programme for replacement of undersized or defective mains and general distribution improvement continued. Emergency works were carried out at several locations consequential to the landslips which occurred during Typhoon Ellen in August. A total of 148 km of mains was laid during the year. Details are given in Appendix CC.
