4.85 The Bus Terminus part of the Kowloon - Canton Railway Terminus Development at Hung Hom was completed and construction work continued on the Railway Terminus, Multi-Storey Car Park, podium to the Indoor Stadium and Railway Staff Quarters all associated with the same Development.

4.86 A Cargo Handling Area Administration Block, Canteen and Staff Room was completed on the Wan Chai Reclamation.

4.92 Six professional officers did not renew their contracts and left the service to return to the United Kingdom, whilst ten professional officers renewed their contracts for a further tour of duty.

Eight expatriate professional officers on agreement, selected for appointment by the Crown Agents, were recruited to the staff and one professional officer was seconded from the U.K. Department of the Environment to work on Military projects.
