DESIGN AND PROJECTS DIVISION

8.06 This Division is responsible for all new projects, both Electrical and Mechanical, which are undertaken on behalf of client Departments and the various offices of the Public Works Department. In addition to acting as consultants, the duties of the Division include the investigation, design, and preparation of specifications, drawings, indents and contract documents for, as well as the supervision of, projects under construction. The Division also administers the Lifts and Escalators (Safety) Ordinance.

8.07 During the year new projects totalling $4.5 million were completed.
