Miscellaneous:-The following works were carried out:-Lai Chi Kok Female Prison-matshed erected for Indian guard, Kowloon City and Shamshuipo Police Stations-docks altered, Prince Edward Road and Kowloon City Playgrounds-notice boards erected. A number of houses were demolished in Kowloon Walled City. Electrical improvements and additions were carried out in six buildings.

166. Taipo Road-3rd to 5th Mile Improvements:-This contract was let to Messrs. Man Gang on 20th May. A certain amount of cutting was carried out by the end of the year but the progress was poor.

167. Custom Pass Road Widening: This contract, amounting to $56,036.00 was awarded to Messrs. Yeung Fat & Co. Work was commenced on 15th March and it was expected the road would be fully open to traffic at the extended completion date, 13th February, 1938. The resumption of certain agricultural lots in Survey District II were effected.
