152. Water Works-(a) New
(a) New Meters: -309 new were issued from Store.

(b) Miscellaneous:-Works carried out under this head were:-300 feet of 4″ cast iron main were removed from Waterloo Road between Shanghai Street and Canton Road and 340 feet of 4" cast iron main were removed from Canton Road between Waterloo Road and Hamilton Street. Extensive repair work was carried out at the Kowloon Tong Service Reservoir which effected a reduction in the leakage, but this reservoir which is now about thirty years old will shortly require partial reconstruction.
Twenty new chlorine cylinders were purchased.

153. Port Works:-The costs of trial bores sunk at Hung Hom Ferry Pier site and the supply and erection of various notice boards were defrayed from this vote.
