The survey of New Kowloon (portion Lai Chi Kok-Ngau Tau Kok comprising an area of eight square miles) was completed, reduced to a scale of 1/600 and traced; and the revision of the 1/2400 survey of Kowloon was commenced.

Small Scale Maps.-Sheets Nos. 19 and 23 of the Topographic Map of the Colony were revised at the request of the Military Authorities.

Levelling.

30. The levelling of the Colony, including a complete circuit round the New Territories (main land) and several circuits on Hong Kong Island, has been completed and a detailed report with values of all bench marks has been prepared.
